Mental Performance Coach and Featured Presenter

Marty, affectionately known as Coach Kupp, brings more than 20 years of experience in education, coaching, leadership, and athlete development to Greenepsych Clinical & Sports Psychology. As a Mental Performance Coach and Youth Sports Development Specialist, Marty works with athletes, parents, coaches, and teams to help build healthier, more connected, and more resilient sports environments.

Marty currently serves as President of Blue Star Lacrosse and Founder of Jersey Box Lacrosse, where he leads year-round player development, coach education, and culture-building initiatives across the youth and high school levels. He is also a certified Mental Performance Mastery (MPM) coach and is continuing to expand his work in the areas of mindfulness, mental performance, leadership, and athlete identity.

At Greenepsych, Marty supports athletes, coaches, parents, and organizations through speaking engagements, team workshops, leadership training, and individual mental performance coaching. His work focuses on helping athletes manage pressure, build confidence through preparation and process, strengthen team culture, and develop tools for performance both in and out of sports. Marty is especially passionate about helping adults better understand and support today’s athletes in a rapidly changing youth sports culture.

Background & Education

Marty is a proud University of Delaware alum where he played Division I lacrosse and competed in multiple NCAA Tournaments, including a Final Four appearance. He was also one of the original members of NXT Sports and helped build the organization’s boys lacrosse programming from the ground up beginning in 2009. Throughout his leadership at NXT, Marty played a major role in developing programs such as Cradle Lacrosse, Play Fast Training & Camps, and the NXT Lacrosse Club. He takes great pride in helping mentor and develop hundreds of student-athletes who have gone on to play college lacrosse, professional lacrosse, and compete for Team USA.
 
Before transitioning into full-time sports leadership and mental performance work, Marty spent years teaching and coaching at Episcopal Academy and within Lower Merion School District. His experience across regular education, special education, physical education, and high-level athletics gives him a unique ability to connect with athletes and families from many different backgrounds.
 
With a master’s degree in education, extensive classroom experience, and decades of coaching and mentoring relationships, Marty is known for his energy, authenticity, and ability to connect with players, parents, coaches, and teams in meaningful ways.
