Dr. Mitchell Greene
Clinical, Sport & Performance Psychologist | Keynote Speaker
Author of Courage over Confidence: Managing Mind Chatter and Winning the Mental Game
For more than 20 years, Dr. Mitchell Greene has worked with athletes and high performers across every level of competition—from developing juniors and collegiate athletes to professional and Olympic competitors—helping them navigate the mental side of performance.
In recent years, Dr. Greene’s work has expanded to include leaders in finance, law, and the performing arts—professionals who, like elite athletes, must make critical decisions under pressure and perform consistently in high-stakes environments.
Dr. Greene works with a select number of individuals and organizations each year to deliver focused, high-impact work. In addition, he leads Greenepsych, where he oversees a trusted team of clinicians and performance specialists.
The principle that sits at the center of Dr. Greene’s work is his belief that great performers are not the ones without doubt, but the ones who learn to compete effectively alongside it. After years of teaching good performers how to become great competitors, Dr. Greene authored Courage over Confidence. In the book, Dr. Greene outlines a practical framework for understanding and responding to the inner dialogue that can derail performance. He shows athletes and performers how to manage mind chatter before competition, after mistakes, and in high-stakes moments—helping them perform with courage, clarity, and focus when it matters most.
I want to let everyone know about Mitch Greene. Mitch is an amazing resource for anyone that participates in sports. We all focus so much on training our bodies but not nearly enough time on managing nerves, dealing with expectations and learning how to be confident. Mitch was an extremely helpful addition to my training and competitions. I would encourage anyone that wants to compete, to think about talking to Dr. Greene to develop a mental game plan.

Mitch has been amazing working with both of my high school kids over the past 18 months! He has helped tremendously with performance anxiety and how to deal with the overall pressure that today’s athletes face. His techniques and calming manner set Mitch apart and he has been invaluable to my kids and their success. I have and will continue to recommend Mitch Greene to any athlete who wants to control the “mind chatter.”

Speaking & Workshops
In addition to his consulting work, Dr. Greene and his team at Greenepsych deliver keynotes, workshops, and educational sessions for teams, schools, and organizations seeking to build mentally stronger competitors and cultivate healthier performance cultures. Their work translates directly from elite sport to high-stakes performance in business, trading, and leadership, providing practical tools and frameworks that teams and individuals can apply immediately.
Dr. Greene’s Growth Mindset workshop was an incredibly impactful addition to our Quantitative Trading program. His ability to translate psychological concepts into practical tools – like managing “side games,” staying present under pressure, and adopting an “improve vs. prove” mindset – made his expertise directly applicable to the realities of trading and performance. The sessions created a rare space for honest reflection while still delivering actionable strategies our team could use immediately. We’ve seen firsthand how valuable this workshop is and would strongly recommend it for use in any high-performance environment.

My name is Linda Elriani, and am the former world #3 squash player and now the Senior Director of Professional Development and Programming at US Squash. Mitch and Lauren have been pivotal in developing a meaningful and practical psychology section for the US Squash Level 3 Coaching Certification Course. Their extensive experience in squash, combined with a deep understanding of the pressures players face while balancing school, squash, and social life, has enriched the course content immensely. Their insights help coaches better understand the mental and emotional challenges players experience, enabling them to offer tailored guidance to support both performance and well-being. I highly recommend their services and believe anyone would benefit from working with them whether you are a player, parent or coach.
